First off, you did a fairly good job of cutting out the horse, and I applaud you for that- It takes a while to get a good silhouette. But, the mane seems very frizzy, and the tail looks a bit like a caterpillar. To avoid this, don't just smudge like mad, put it on a 70-80% strength setting and a 1-4 pixel brush and slowly smooth the hairs outward, giving it more of a flowy appearance. I like the shine in the tail. Also, if the horse really is jumping through the sky, his/her tail wouldn't hang limply at its hocks, it would have more of a floating appearance to it- think of tail movement when showjumping.
A big thing that catches my eye is that the legs seem to just cut off and it looks as if the horse was just stuck there awkwardly. Try to blend it in as smoothly as you can- try overlapping the background on the legs on an overlay, lighten or layer that makes it seem like the horse is behind the clouds and jumping out of them. I don't understand what the spheres along the belly and forelegs are supposed to be- if it's minst rolling off the horse, a light cloud brush would have worked much better, because all I really see are weird highlights on the belly. Oh, and, if the legs only go so far, why is the tail hanging lower than when the legs end?
A few minutes of messing with the selective colour properties on the horse would have made it look more real. Here we have a dark horse on completely different colours than the background, which makes it look fake. The horse is too light for its background and some colour altering would have done good.
Finally, I don't understand what's on the horses' legs- I'm assuming they're butterflies. A blue or purple butterfly here and there would do a nicer job than a cluster- this makes the image look too busy for a serene float in the clouds
I hope this helps you! Have fun manipping!
